After a cold start to the year, year-to-date temperatures were below normal every month through November, but some unusually warm weather in late December finally brought the average just slightly above normal for the year. The high temperature of 53 on Christmas day broke the all-time record in Portland. After having over a foot of snow in November, we had less than an inch in December; a white Thanksgiving followed by a brown Christmas!
