Finally, on September 3rd, a day that was 8 degrees above normal, after 75 consecutive days within 6 degrees of normal! August finished three-quarters of a degree below normal in Harpswell. Year-to-date, Portland is now 1.3 degrees below normal, on pace to become the coldest year since 2003. The global map below shows that North America is clearly the coolest place! Global temperatures, per NOAA, are the 3rd highest on record so far this year, despite our cool temperatures here.
