Abnormally normal? For starters, July hit the normal average temperature for the month, 67.9, exactly. Defining a normal day as one within 5 days of the normal average temperature for the day, we only had one abnormal day in July (and only one since the first day of summer). As of August 7th, we have now had 32 consecutive normal days and there are no abnormal days in the 10 day forecast. On average in the last 3 complete summers, we have had 20 abnormal days. We have some catching up to do by September 22nd. We have also not yet hit 90 degrees this summer; last year we had 6 days over 90 by the end of July.
